Prayer (Draw Near to God) | Knowledge & Wisdom prayer to draw closer to god
Here is a prayer for those who wish to draw nearer to Father, God. This is not a prayer for salvation or of forgiveness of sins, but simply a prayer that I wrote directly from a series of scriptures, that I pray whenever I want to get closer to Him. Use this prayer before you open scripture, before you begin your daily devotion, at the start of your fast, or just to increases your overall intimacy and knowledge of Him.
FULL PRAYER:
LORD, GOD IN HEAVEN, I ASK THAT YOU REMOVE FROM WITHIN ME THE THINGS WHICH CAUSE RESISTANCE TO ME RECEIVING YOUR LOVE. REMOVE FROM ME THOSE THINGS THAT PREVENT ME FROM SEEING YOUR KINGDOM ON THE EARTH. REMOVE WHAT CAUSES RESISTANCE TO ME MANIFESTING YOUR AUTHORITY AND POWER, AS WELL AS ANYTHING IN ME THAT DOESN’T RESPOND WITH LOVE. FATHER, EXPOSE THE CORRUPTION IN ME AND REMOVE IT FAR FROM ME. LET ME BE VIRTUOUS, A PERSON OF MY WORD WHO REPRESENTS YOU WELL AMONGST PEOPLE. I ASK, LORD GOD, THAT YOUR PERFECT WILL BEARS DOWN ON MY OWN WILL AND MY FLESHLY DESIRES. TOUCH MY HEART, CONSUME ME WITH YOUR PASSIONS, AND WRAP YOURSELF AROUND ME, FATHER. LET ME RECEIVE YOUR REBUKE AND TREASURE YOUR INSTRUCTION. LET ME UNDERSTAND THE FEAR OF THE LORD AND FIND KNOWLEDGE OF YOU. LET ME CHOOSE FEAR OF THE LORD OVER FEAR OF EVIL, AND LET MY HEART KEEP YOUR COMMANDS. I started my day listening to a very well known pastor who I love and appreciate with ALL my heart.
